Certified Butternut Health Expert (BHE)

At Integrated Arborcare Solutions, we’re proud to be officially qualified as a Butternut Health Expert (BHE) in Ontario. This designation means we’re authorized to assess the health of Juglans cinerea, the butternut tree—an endangered species under Ontario’s Endangered Species Act, 2007.

As certified BHEs, we provide:

• Comprehensive Tree Assessments – We evaluate whether a butternut is healthy, declining, or possibly resistant to butternut canker, a harmful fungal disease.
• Regulatory Reporting – Our assessments meet the strict standards set by the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks and are valid for land use planning, development applications, or conservation measures.
• Species Identification – We expertly distinguish pure butternuts from hybrids to ensure accurate classification and preservation.

Who Needs a Butternut Assessment?

If you're planning construction, forestry, or land development on a property with butternut trees, a certified assessment is often required by law. Our reports are accepted by the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks.
